Programs and Pilots
Testing bold ideas to prove what’s possible in brain health equity.
Focus Area: Inclusive Data Aggregation
“You can’t solve what you don’t measure — and you can’t measure what you don’t see.”
Our flagship pilot programs are built around the belief that data is power, and that communities most impacted by Alzheimer’s and Autism deserve to be reflected in the science shaping diagnostics, treatments, and policy.
We design and test ethical, scalable data initiatives focused on historically underrepresented populations — especially in Latino, immigrant, and low-income communities across the U.S. and Latin America.
Current Data-Centered Pilot Programs
LatAm–U.S. Alzheimer’s Genetics Data Bridge
Partnership with Universidad de Antioquia and U.S. institutions Aggregating longitudinal clinical, genetic, and behavioral data from early-onset Alzheimer’s patients (e.g. PSEN1 mutation carriers) Building a bilingual, HIPAA-compliant repository for international research use Goal: Support diversity in clinical trials, early detection algorithms, and drug development
Bilingual Autism Behavior Tracking Pilot
Collecting caregiver-reported data across Spanish- and English-speaking families
Focusing on early indicators, social behavior, and access-to-care variables
Using mobile surveys and culturally adapted tools
Goal: Create a publicly shareable dataset to inform screening tools and early intervention strategies
Community Data Donation Platform (Coming Soon)
Developing a consent-based platform for families to contribute anonymized neurocognitive data
Includes health history, social determinants, and functional assessments
Designed for use in future AI/ML projects and personalized therapy insights
Goal: Build the largest grassroots-led neurocognitive dataset in the Western Hemisphere
How We Handle Data
All pilots follow strict IRB, HIPAA, and GDPR protocols
Families and partners are empowered with clear, bilingual consent
We use de-identification, encrypted storage, and access tiering to protect participants
Community advisory boards are embedded in every step of the data process
Why Pilots Matter?
They prove feasibility and build trust
They create evidence for funders and collaborators
They allow us to iterate quickly and responsibly before scaling nationally or globally
