My name is Andrés, I am the only son of Ligia Johnson and Manuel Canales. I’m from Limache, a pleasant village located inland from the coast of the V Region of Chile. I grew up surrounded by fresh air, good friends, and lots of pets. I studied at Marist schools, but I overcame Catholicism at age 14 (thanks God). I studied BA in Biological Sciences at the University of Valparaiso, and now I am a researcher at the Laboratory of Cognitive and Social Neuroscience (LaNCyS) at the University Diego Portales in Santiago and I collaborate as a research assistant at the Interdisciplinary Center for Neuroscience of Valparaiso (CINV). I am interested in the neuroscience of consciousness from a scientific and philosophical point of view.
